Finally, an easy-to-use, fast, Pay-On-Foot station.  These stations can be mounted in the wall with front or rear access., built into a shelter or simply pedestal mounted for installation on a concrete slab.

Stations are vandal resistant with optional security card reader and magnetic locks to document when the cabinet was opened and who opened it.  CCTV with integrated digital activity recording, remote monitoring and VOIP communication are also popular options.

The Secom Level Count Display System increments and decrements cars entering and leaving each level on the garage and displays real-time parking space availability at the entrance to the garage and even at each level as a reminder to the parking patron of current availability.

This versatile level count system can be integrated into any existing Secom system or can be used in a stand-alone fashion.  The small but powerful Secontroller 15 combined with Monitor Control Terminals (MCT’s) and a series of vehicle detection loops combine to give your parking patrons the high level of service and information they need to quickly find available parking spaces.

System can be programmed to display the actual number of spaces available, a rounded down number for ease of recognition and identification, or for the very busy high volume garage a number that reflects the hysteresis in the true number of vehicles in transit on the level that are either approaching and vacating possible parking spaces.

Signs are fabricated from stainless steel and are available in post-mounted, wall-mounted or anchored to concrete deck.  Signs are standard black powder-coated or can be customized from a wide choice of colors.

The insertion card technology is tried and proven.  With many different reader designs, from door to gate, from environmentally secure upward insertion to special mountings for mullions and posts, this card reader fits any mounting application with ease.  All Secom readers are configured to work with intercoms if desired.

The proximity technology is the industry leader.  With three different read ranges (short – 4”; medium – 7”; and long range – 24”) plus automatic vehicle identification systems for window up parking applications, Secom technology was selected with all the possible uses in mind.

There are two types of AVI favored by Secom; one, with the active battery powered card mounted in the front window of the vehicle (this enables the card to move from vehicle to vehicle if necessary).  The second is mounted under the vehicle.  This technology allows the “reader” to be mounted in the driveway much the same as a loop detector and greatly reduces the incidence of cross talk between lanes.

Don’t be mislead.  Although it may seem that long range technology might work for all applications, quite the opposite is true.  Possibilities of a card being read by two readers simultaneously or accidentally read are great.

Only Secom offers three ways to provide validations to your customers for automatic, non attended parking system.

Our on-line validator makes validating machine readable tickets quick and easy, and virtually theft proof.

Our validation coupon program which used preprinted validation coupons that are assigned a value at the system, is perfect where hard wiring validator are not possible. 

The most exotic is our validation issuing machine which actually creates validation coupons at the customer’s site with preprogrammed values and if you wish, expirations dates.

Secom ON-Line validators are typically located in areas of high validation activity (theatre ticket booth, restaurant, cashier locations, etc).   When the ticket is presented for validation, it is read by the validator and its unique number is stored in the central system memory.  When the ticket is presented at exit, the amount of the validation is automatically taken into consideration when the fee is computed.

This unit makes it now possible to properly validate pay on foot tickets, formerly a cumbersome and unauditable task.  Its uses include high volume grocery stores to ensure only store users get proper parking reductions, shopping malls with theaters to assist in fast lane throughput and proper auditing, and hotels with banquet validation requirements.
Other facilities that are natural users of the on-line validator include health clubs that share parking with other operations, hospitals, universities and other institutions.

In applications where wiring on-line validators may be inconvenient, or where only a few validations are issued each day, validation coupons are the answer.  They are issued to the validating party in books, each book having a different time or money valiue of the coupon is taken into consideration when the ticket rate is computed.

The validation coupons are marked as having been used, and are secured in a vault with the cashiered tickets until picked up.  A report is generated telling the garage manager just how many validation coupons of each type are in the vault so they can be properly audited and secured.

This system actually issues validations in bulk, with specific values based on the requirements of the customer or operator.  For instance, an off airport location may require 500 worth $5 to five to travel agents to put in with tickets they issue.  The validation can have an expiration date and must be used propr to that date to be valid.

Another application might be a theater or sports complex offering season tickets and corresponding parking.  The coupons can be programmed to work only on specific days and specific times.  They can be mailed out to the ticket holders and used as entry and exit passes only on the day specified.

The Validation Issuing Machine ison-line with the Secom system and can be told by the Secom system and can be told by the garage manager to issue a certain number of coupons that are good on a certain day (or until a certain day) for a specific amount.  Once the coupon has been used it is removed from the system and cannot be used again.
